Star Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) Leg Beater Wanindu Hasaranga castling Punjab Kings (PBKS) Striker Jitesh Sharma during the 60th game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 on Friday May 13 at Brabourne Stadium in mumbai.

With the wicket of Jitesh Sharma, wrist spinner Hasaranga equaled Rajasthan Royals (RR) leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal’s tally of 23 wickets and he is now the highest wicket taker in the 2022 Indian Premier League.

Jitesh came out at bat after the wicket of skipper Mayank Agarwal and he could only score 9 runs on 5 balls, including 2 for four, before being dismissed on the 2nd ball of the 17th.

Meanwhile, Hasaranga delivered a googly to the PBKS batter and Jitesh couldn’t pick it up and he came down the lane to smash the ball but he was beaten in the air and the ball slipped under the bat and continued to destroy the stumps.

Hasaranga gave up just 15 runs in his quota of 4 on the high scoring encounter and was able to take two huge wickets for RCB.

Liam Livingstone plays aggressive after Jonny Bairstow’s dismissal to help Punjab Kings score early points against RCB

The Punjab Kings got off to a flying start in the match as Jonny Bairstow destroyed the RCB bowling unit and in the 4th over himself the Punjab Kings completed the 50 run tally.

At 5th over, Maxwell brushed off flyhalf Dhawan for 21 while conceding 10 points and point guard Mohammed Siraj was crushed for 23 points at 6th over. At the end of the power play, the Punjab Kings were 83/1.

Opener Jonny Bairstow’s sensational innings were interrupted by spinner Shahbaz Ahmed in the 10th. Bairstow had 66 runs on 29 balls, including 4 fours and 7 sixes.

For the 4th wicket, Liam Livingstone and Mayank Agarwal had a 51-on-35 ball partnership before the latter was fired for 19 by the slower bouncer Harshal Patel at the 15th.

As of this writing, the Punjab Kings are 205/6 from 19 overs and Livingstone is batting exceptionally well.
