Wallet stolen outside Richboro Acme: Police

RICHBORO, PA — The Northampton Township Police Department is currently investigating a “distracted robbery” that took place outside a local Acme on Thursday.

Police say the elderly woman had just finished loading her groceries at the store, located at 800 2nd Street Pike, when a man came to her attention and reported a bolt and nut stuck in the hubcap area of ​​her car. As they looked at the hubcap, police said another person entered through the woman’s driver’s door and stole her wallet from her purse.

When she removed the bolts and returned to her car, she discovered her wallet was missing.

The man who distracted her was described as a Hispanic male in his 30s, about 5’8′ to 5’10’ tall, wearing beige khaki pants, a white t-shirt and an N95 mask.

The victim said there were two other people with the man at the time of the robbery. One was a Hispanic woman, who wore a green top with a palm leaf print and black pleated sweatpants. The other was another Hispanic man, who was wearing similar clothing to the first man involved.

Surveillance cameras were able to snap a picture of the suspects’ vehicle, a new model silver Acura with heavily tinted windows and tag #6NDB930; the license plate status could not be seen.
