Wallet pulled from a purse at Sam’s Club

A woman’s wallet was taken from her purse at Sam’s Club on Main Street. This among the stories from Evanston Police’s Friday Daily Crime Bulletin.

2400 main
An 82-year-old woman left her purse in a cart at Sam’s Club in the 2400 block of Main Street around 5 p.m. Thursday. By the time she realized it, minutes later, her wallet, containing $600 in cash, was missing from the purse.

2485 Howard
Ingrid L. Campos, 43, of 5112 W. Cortez Drive, Chicago, was arrested at 2485 Howard St. at 1:01 p.m. Thursday and charged with retail theft.

BATTERY
1923Asbury
Brad L. Barrett, 32, of 1801 Glenn Drive, North Chicago, was arrested at 1923 Asbury Ave. at 11:48 p.m. Thursday and charged with domestic battery.

901 Maple
Marcus S. Franklin, 32, of 103 E. Dundee Road, Wheeling, was arrested at 901 Maple Ave. at 11:56 p.m. Sunday and charged with assault.

HEIST
1000 Chicago
Someone smashed a window in a commercial building in the 1000 block of Chicago Avenue between 11 a.m. Wednesday and 11:15 a.m. Thursday.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE

A 71-year-old man, driving a 2012 Lincoln MKZ at Ridge Avenue and Church Street, yelled at a truck driver to advise that trucks were not allowed on Ridge at that location, after which the driver driver threw a cup of coffee out of the Lincoln’s window, spilling liquid and damaging the vehicle’s interior.

BLOWS HEARD
Elmwood to Seward
Shots were reported on Elmwood Avenue and Seward Street at 1:33 a.m. Thursday. The police checked the area but found nothing.

TRAFFIC
1511 Church
Jeremiah I. Gallimore, 20, of 1750 Brown Ave., was arrested at 1511 Church St. at 12:28 p.m. Thursday and charged with a traffic violation.

1603 Orrington
Elizabeth A. Lungu, 27, of 1145 Oak Ave., was arrested at 1603 Orrington Ave. at 1:25 p.m. on May 12 and was charged with a traffic violation.

2400 Grasslands
Margarita Tirado, 46, of 1915 Emerson St., was arrested at 2400 Prairie Ave. at 8:21 a.m. on May 12 and was charged with a traffic violation.

The incidents listed are among the Evanston Police Department reports. An arrest does not constitute a verdict of guilty, which can only be determined by a court. Court appearances are held at Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
