Mardi Gras 2022 Merchandise Appears, New Hello Kitty Loungefly Wallet and Backpack, Hogwarts Express Unexpected Closure and More: Universal Orlando Resort Photo Story 1/17/22
Take your ponchos and umbrellas; It’s a very rainy day at the Universal Orlando Resort! Let’s jump right into our day and hope we don’t get too wet. First stop, Universal Studios Florida.
The “Featured in Ogre Vision” banner and attraction wait time sign have been removed from Shrek 4-D. We are excited to see what will replace the previous beloved attraction.
We spotted a new Luna Lovegood ‘Quibbler’ Loungefly handbag in the Hello Kitty store.
Our favorite part is definitely the interior; Luna’s signature pink glasses are so cute!
In the same store, we also found a new matching Hello Kitty Loungefly wallet and backpack set.
Besides the main zippered pocket, the cupcake wrapper is also a small pocket. The design inside the wallet also matches the inside of the backpack!
Passing through London, we noticed that King’s Cross station was closed. Staff told us they weren’t sure if the Hogwarts Express would be open during the day.
Rain won’t stop patrons from experiencing the magic around Diagon Alley.
With the train closed, we took the scenic route and headed to Universal’s Islands of Adventure.
Mardi Gras 2022 merchandise has arrived in the All Hallows Voodoo Shop! Grab your favorite product and get ready as the celebration begins on February 5th. See the full list of merchandise and prices here.
Continuing through the park, Hogsmeade was not too crowded today.
Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure was a 65 minute wait. A good chunk of the queue is outside, so hopefully the rain subsides and guests don’t get soaked while waiting.
VelociCoaster was a 25 minute wait. What’s scarier than being chased by dinosaurs? Add a little rain into the mix!
Check out this new Agnes & Unicorn “Despicable Me” plush we found at Islands of Adventure Trading Company. It’s super soft and very adorable.
