Gabrielle Union Dons Sandals With Dwyane Wade at Prada Men’s Show – Footwear News
Gabrielle Union proved the benefits of bangs at Prada’s Spring 2023 menswear show in Milan.
Arriving for the menswear fashion show with husband Dwyane Wade on Sunday, Union wore a beige Prada tank dress with a bold fringed hem. Her sleek number was paired with sparkly earrings, as well as the brand’s black and beige jacquard top-handle bag. Wade looked equally sharp in a Prada yellow mesh tank top and silky black drop-crotch pants, complete with black sunglasses, layered pearl and pendant necklaces and Vacheron’s $44,800 Patrimony Retrograde Day-Date watch. Constantine.
The power couple were joined in the front row by many stars, including Jeff Goldblum, Rami Malek, Jake Gyllenhaal and Song Kang.
For footwear, Union wore simple sandals with thin soles, leather ankle and toe straps. Finishing the pair were stilettos, probably totaling at least 4 inches in height. For a sporty contrast, Wade wore a pair of white and gray paneled leather sneakers in a lace-up silhouette.
Prada’s Spring 2023 menswear collection, “Prada Choices”, is inspired by fashion’s ability to express the mood of its wearer and create personal style. The line included iconic ’60s-inspired pieces that are Prada staples, including car coats, cardigans and suits. Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons also aimed to inspire nostalgia, whether through leather shorts, bodycon silhouettes or printed sweaters. This also included the exhibition space, designed to look like a house with large windows created from raw-edge paper.

When it comes to shoes, Union always opts for the daring. The “Breaking In” actress often favors current trends, like Magda Butrym’s flip flops, By Far and Gia Couture’s collab with Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. She is also known for wearing strappy sandals and tall boots from top brands such as Paris Texas, Tamara Mellon and Tabitha Simmons. When not on duty, Union prefers chunky sneakers from Adidas, Reebok and Nike.
